Jackson Farms was founded five years ago with a simple vision: to create a place where dogs could enjoy the freedom, care, and attention they deserve while their families are away. What began as a passion project grew into something we loved, and two years ago, we made the decision to dedicate ourselves to it full-time.
As a husband-and-wife team, we personally care for every dog that stays with us. There is no large staff—just our family caring for yours. We take pride in getting to know each dog's personality, needs, and routines, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and loved throughout their stay.
What truly sets Jackson Farms apart is our spacious acreage. Unlike traditional boarding facilities, our guests have plenty of room to run, play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors in a safe, supervised environment. We believe dogs thrive when they have space to be dogs, and our property gives them the opportunity to stretch their legs, burn energy, and have fun throughout the day.
Whether your pup is joining us for daycare or an extended boarding stay, our goal is to provide a home-away-from-home experience filled with exercise, companionship, and personalized care. How does pickup and return work?
We provide free local transportation for Auburn and Opelika families. We’ll coordinate your pickup and return details with you before your dog’s visit; customer drop-off at the farm is not offered.
Where is Jackson Farms located?
Our farm is just a few exits past Buc-ee’s and includes a home plus a dedicated indoor dog facility. For safety and convenience, dogs arrive through our coordinated transportation service.
What vaccinations are required?
Please send current rabies, DHLP, and Bordetella records before your dog’s visit. A photo from your phone or a copy emailed from your vet works.
What should I pack for boarding?
Bring your dog’s regular food and any medication, clearly labeled with their name and instructions. Treats are welcome. Please leave sentimental or hard-to-wash bedding at home.
Where do dogs sleep?
All boarding dogs rest, eat, and sleep indoors in our comfortable, climate-controlled facility. Dogs are arranged thoughtfully by family, size, and comfort level.
Can you care for an intact male?
Intact males may board. Because daycare uses open group play, intact males cannot participate in regular daycare.
Do you accept every breed?
We do not have breed restrictions. We evaluate each dog as an individual and choose play groups based on temperament, size, and energy.
